Brooklyn-based hip-hop/hard rock outfit Game Rebellion teamed up with J. Period for their first full-length musical excursion: Searching for Rick Rubin, a mixtape that pays homage to the legendary producer’s eclectic catalog by replaying, recreating and remixing a diverse assortment of Rubin classics. Rather than simply sampling and spinning tracks, Game Rebellion’s guitar heroes reinterpret Rubin’s classic riffs on their own, combining live instrumentation and classic recordings for a unique mixtape experience.
