Work Type: Hybrid – 4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $50,000 to $55,000

Job Description:
Our client, a mission-driven non-profit organization in Newark, NJ, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the CEO & Senior Pastor. This role ensures smooth daily operations, worship service coordination, and general administrative support while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare meeting materials.
Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Maintain organized records and digital files.
Assist with logistics for worship services, programs, and community events.
Provide clerical support for donor relations and board/governance activities.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and serve as a professional point of contact.
Support communication efforts, including emails and social media posting.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2–3 years of administrative support experience (nonprofit or faith-based preferred).
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Professional demeanor, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting nonprofit or faith-based leadership.
Familiarity with event planning and coordination.
Comfort with social media platforms and digital communication.
