JOB SUMMARY:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the bidding and project planning process by preparing accurate cost estimates for flooring projects. You will analyze project requirements, review blueprints, communicate with vendors, and provide detailed proposals to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Your attention to detail and industry knowledge will help drive project success and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates

• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability

• Work closely with sales, project managers, and clients to clarify project scope and expectations

• Prepare detailed bid proposals and submit estimates in a timely manner

• Assist in contract negotiations by providing cost breakdowns and alternative solutions when needed

• Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry pricing to maintain competitive estimates

• Collaborate with internal teams to refine estimating processes and improve accuracy

• Track and analyze past project costs to enhance future estimating strategies

• Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project costs for reporting and reference

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of experience in estimating within the flooring, construction, or renovation industry

• Experience in floor covering estimating/installation

• Strong understanding of materials, labor costs, and installation processes for flooring.

• Multifamily, Commercial, Senior Living and Hotel flooring experience

• Proficiency in estimating software, RFMS, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and

blueprint reading

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal

teams

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
