Direct message the job poster from North Shore Community College Workforce Development Training Programs Advisor and Coordinator Job Description: Part-Time CompTIA A+ Instructor Course Location: Danvers Campus of NSCC Course Day/Time: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm in-person 15 hrs. per week, September 2 - December 19, 2025, February 2 - April 30, 2026 Non-benefited, grant-funded position SALARY: $60.00/hr.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Part Time A+ Instructor will lead a cohort of ten students who have successfully completed the CompTIA IT Fundamentals Exam. This role supports the CompTIA stackable credentialing process at North Shore Community College. Utilizing TeachOut and CompTIA course curricula, including lab simulations, the instructor will deliver comprehensive instruction an incorporate hands-on learning objectives and demonstrations that align with the coursework.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct in-person classes three days per week in the computer lab, delivering both classroom and lab instruction. Administer and evaluate quizzes and exams to monitor student progress. Develop classroom projects and group activities to enhance learning. Assess student performance and discuss findings with the TechRise Coordinator. Document unresolved student issues and performance deficiencies, facilitating further intervention and follow-up with the TechRise Coordinator. Requirements: A high school diploma or G. E. D. Equivalency required CompTIA A+ certification is required Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
