Job Description

Dorn s Delivery & Transfer in Appleton is searching for a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our team with solid mechanical skills. Our mechanics play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and ready for daily operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative maintenance on company tractors.
• Schedule and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient performance of tractors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment.
• Provide emergency & unscheduled repairs of equipment, including road service calls.
• Obtain quotes on parts, supplies and service by outside vendors.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Communicate with team & management to coordinate scheduling of repairs.
• Work both independently and within a team environment.
• Ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license. CDL a plus, not required.
• DOT annual inspection certification
• Organizational skills.
• Experience in heavy mechanical maintenance.
• Pro-active, multi-tasking, self- motivated team player.
• 40-50 hours per week
