Pay Range: $25.50 - $25.50 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Conducts EKGs on patients of all age groups, with the exception of pediatric patients.
Performs edits on EKGs utilizing hospital management system (MUSE).

Qualification

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Certification EKG interpretation
  • 1 year experience

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

  • Full-Time
  • Day

Essential Functions:

  • Performs 12-lead EKGs according to departmental policy throughout medical center
  • Prepares EKGs for Cardiologist review & performs all necessary editing utilizing hospital system (MUSE).
  • Distributes finalized EKGs to referring physician or to in-patient clinical unit.
  • Troubleshoot EKGs performed on nursing units to eliminate duplicates & errors.
  • Enter charges in the hospital system (SMS)
  • Provides translation for Hispanic & Portuguese speaking patients
  • Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service
  • Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
  • Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc.
  • Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate
