Job Description
The Town of Milford - DPW has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver/Equipment Operator. This is a full-time (40/hrs/wk) union position with the Town of Milford and reports directly to the Director or Highway Foreman or designee.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of things, including road and utility maintenance; performing road and right of way repairs to include construction of catch basins & manholes; installing drainage systems and drain lines of concrete and all associated tasks, to include: shoveling, raking, hauling, mixing, digging, etc. Operation of equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, graders, backhoes, and other moderately complex equipment is required.

Requirements: Must possess a valid NH Class B CDL (Class A preferred), must be able to operate an excavator, and must have experience digging around underground utilities.Candidates must have the ability to work independently and be able to understand and follow oral and written directives. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively with co-workers to see a project to completion.Individuals must have the ability to conduct themselves professionally, maintain a safe workplace, and be able to demonstrate characteristics of being conscientious, honest, energetic, and dependable.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter/summer municipal road maintenance; OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill, and ability.

Pay is commensurate with experience ($27.00 - $30.00/hr) and includes an excellent benefits package:
