What You’ll Be Doing:

• Helping Families with Arrangements:
• Be the first point of contact, guiding families through the process with warmth and understanding.
• Assist in funeral planning, coordinating all details from service arrangements to financial options.
• Coordinating Thoughtful & Seamless Services:
• Write heartfelt obituaries and ensure timely publication.
• Work with cemeteries to arrange burials and handle logistics like caskets and vaults.
• Organize all service details, including transportation, flowers, and venue setup.
• Coordinate with clergy, musicians, or other service participants to create a personalized ceremony.
• Leading & Supporting a Team:
• Direct the funeral home staff to ensure smooth operations for every service.
• Assist fellow funeral directors when needed, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Providing Comfort & Support Beyond the Service:
• Follow up with families to offer continued support and answer any post-service questions.
• Occasionally, assist in creating memorial stationery to provide families with special keepsakes.

What We’re Looking For:

• A licensed Funeral Director in Mississippi (or the ability to obtain one).
• Someone with previous funeral service experience who understands the importance of every detail.
• An organized, compassionate, and professional individual who can gracefully handle sensitive situations.
• A strong communicator who makes families feel supported and at ease.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends or holidays, to meet families’ needs.
