Network / Cyber Security Engineer with Security Clearance The Swift Group is a privately held, mission-driven and employee-focused services and solutions company headquartered in Reston, VA. We are looking for a Network / Cyber Security Engineer to join a dynamic program providing unique technology expertise to multiple mission areas across software development, data engineering, technical integration, network engineering, and quick reaction development. The technical work is hands‑on, lab discovery focused, and multi‑disciplinary. The work location is the Tidewater region of Virginia. Responsibilities Design, install, test, and maintain state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products Support a wide range of network facilities to include physical media, protocol stacks, hubs, routers, bridges, gateways, digital servers, line drivers, telecommunications components, and network management components Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design Troubleshoot a range of security issues including architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access Analyze systems for malware, misuse, or unauthorized activity. Provide engineering support such as network-based instruction detection for systems Utilize encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Establish, document, and maintain system baselines and configuration management items Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cyber security architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis and relate existing system to future needs and trends; embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction; provide engineering recommendations; and resolve integration/testing issues Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred); equivalent experience may be substituted 10+ years of demonstrated combined network engineering experience and cyber security experience Knowledge of ICDs related to cyber security including (e.g., ICD 503) Ability to present technical approaches and findings clearly and effectively Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders concurrently US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Legal and Pay Information Onsite The Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
