As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will interact with staff and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to any security-related concerns. This role requires you to be comfortable using technology such as computers or tablets and may involve monitoring alarm panels and managing access control. 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What Youll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist visitors and/or staff with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid drivers license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
