The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician supports clinical pharmacists by managing appointments, collecting patient information, and assisting with prior authorizations. They may also administer vaccines and require licensure and certification specific to pharmacy technicians. This role is based in a healthcare setting focused on patient-centered, ambulatory care.
Description
The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice thru handling appointments, gathering and documentation of patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers. This role provides expertise in prior authorizations as applicable and may administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.
