(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ. Responsibilities ~ Design of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities ~ Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases ~ Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, riser diagrams and details ~ Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards. ~ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other team members. ~ Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration ~ Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects ~ Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD) ~  Qualifications ~ Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar ~3-7 years of relevant Plumbing and Fire Protection design experience ~ Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IPC, ASPE). ~ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with hydraulic calculation software. ~ Strong communication and organizational skills. ~ EIT certification preferred, PE license in progress.
