Systems Administrator/LIMS IT Business Analyst Description We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in supporting laboratory operations through systems administration and IT analysis, with a focus on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Your expertise will help bridge technical data with broader business insights, ensuring smooth collaboration between technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities: Provide direct support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), analyzing technical data and translating it into clear business terms for stakeholders. Act as a liaison between laboratory operations and IT teams to ensure effective communication and system functionality. Manage IT service tickets from lab operations, addressing networking, server, and system-related issues promptly. Perform systems administration tasks, including troubleshooting network and server concerns. Utilize ticketing systems, such as Atlassian Jira, to track and resolve issues efficiently. Collaborate with European headquarters to align local operations with global IT standards. Offer basic support for Audio-Visual (AV) equipment when needed. Conduct gap analyses and propose improvements to business processes. Leverage tools such as Microsoft Excel and CRM systems to analyze and present data effectively. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Business Analyst. Hands-on experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including familiarity with LabView. Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable business insights. Proficiency in ticketing systems, such as Atlassian Jira. Solid understanding of networking and server functions. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
