Salesforce is seeking a seasoned, highly technical executive to join our leadership team as the Vice President, Corporate & Product Business Development. This high-impact role is at the forefront of Salesforce's innovation strategy, focused on delivering high-impact technology and go-to-market partnerships that enable the Agentic Enterprise.

Job Description

The Corporate and Product Business Development team is responsible for delivering Salesforce's most strategic technology partnerships. In this role, you will serve as the functional team leader of the organization that structures, negotiates, and closes partnerships across Salesforce's core product lines - particularly with leading AI, data, and cloud infrastructure companies. You and your team will align partnership priorities with the Salesforce corporate plan, and will be responsible for leading the entire deal lifecycle - from strategic analysis and initial due diligence, to final negotiations and launch. As a leader of leaders, you will oversee the execution of multiple strategic partnership deals in parallel, while also sourcing new partnership opportunities for delivery through your team. This role requires proven team leadership, technical fluency, executive influence, and a strong track record of closing high visibility partnership agreements that advance the corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Strategy & Executive Alignment: Define, champion, and execute the global business development strategy for Salesforce's core product lines (e.g., Agentforce 360, Data 360, Customer 360 Apps, Slack, Tableau). Interface daily with Product GMs and other senior executives to ensure partnership strategy is tightly aligned with product roadmaps and corporate priorities. Drive top-down strategy for new partnership opportunities.
  • Architecting High-Impact Deals: Oversee the identification, structuring, and negotiation of complex technology and distribution partnerships with leading global technology providers
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing global team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence, strategic thinking, accountability, and collaboration
  • Technical Fluency & Connectivity: Act as a primary liaison between our partner's product leadership teams and Salesforce product / engineering leaders, possessing the technical depth to articulate integration requirements, platform dependencies, and long-term technical architecture.

Minimum Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in business development, corporate development, or strategic alliances roles within the technology sector.
  • 5+ years of executive leadership experience managing global, high-performing teams, with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Demonstrated technical fluency - must be able to engage in detailed discussions about cloud architecture, data platforms, generative AI models (LLMs), and platform integration strategies.
  • Proven track record of structuring and negotiating complex, multi-million dollar deals that required CxO level sign-off and delivered measurable product / revenue outcomes.
  • Deep experience working with the C-suite and SVP+ executives in the product and engineering organizations of large, global technology companies.
  • Direct experience working with, or establishing partnerships with, leading hyperscalers, data, or AI companies
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical technical experience. An MBA is a plus.
