We are seeking a talented independent contractor to join our team on a contract basis to handle a variety of residential design projects, focusing on documentation and design support. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable professional who is building their portfolio and seeking project variety and autonomy.

As our freelance residential design specialist, you will primarily support the documentation and detailing aspects of residential projects, including new construction, additions, and renovations. Key responsibilities include:

• Design Support: Prepare conceptual designs, schematics, and design development documents under guidance.
• Construction Documents: Produce accurate, detailed construction documents (drawings, details, schedules) for permitting and construction review.
• Coordination: Coordinate drawing sets with structural engineers and consultants.
• Redline Implementation: Efficiently incorporate revisions and redlines.
• Site Measurement: Conduct site visits for existing conditions documentation and field verification.
• Software Proficiency: Efficiently use Revit, AutoCAD, and Lumion experience is a plus

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional architecture experience
• Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with team members and clients.
• Strong design sensibility and keen attention to detail
• Licensure not required

• Portfolio of a range of residential projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
