Novant Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to provide care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. This role collaborates with physicians and team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Provide direct patient care during cardiac and vascular procedures.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure safe and effective care.
Prepare, operate, and monitor specialized equipment used in procedures.
Evaluate patient status and respond to changes with appropriate clinical actions.
Assist with the implementation of treatment plans in Cath/EP Labs or related settings.
Maintain a safe environment guided by the principle of “First Do No Harm.”
Demonstrate competency through skill validation and successful completion of cardiac dysrhythmia testing.
Graduate of an accredited program (required) in one of the following:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P)
Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
Vascular Intervention (VI)
Experience requirements:
RN: 1 year in Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures (required)
EMT-P: 2 years in an acute care hospital (required)
RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT, or VI: 1 year (preferred)
Current licensure/credentialing as applicable:
RN: North Carolina Board of Nursing License
RTR: ARRT Radiology credential
EMT-P: Accredited program and credentialing/degree
RRT: Licensed by NCRCB and credentialed by NBRC
RCIS/RCES/CVT/VI: Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Program
RCIS or RCES certification required within 24 months of hire (if not already held).
