Responsibilities - Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis - Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual - Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll - Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts - Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities - Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management - Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners - Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations - Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Solid understanding of month end closings
- Foundational knowledge in non-profit fund accounting
- Strong familiarity with Federal Funding and Not for Profit experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- CPA or MBA preferred
