In this role, you’ll do more than fit hearing aids – you’ll empower adults to rediscover the joy of communication. From basic audiometric testing to personalized hearing aid selection, fitting, and follow-up care, you’ll guide patients and families through every step of their hearing journey. Your expertise will help them understand results, explore amplification options, and choose solutions that best support their communication needs and lifestyle.

You’ll collaborate closely with audiologists and speech-language pathologists in a supportive environment that values curiosity, empathy, and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate enjoys combining technical skill with meaningful patient interaction, thrives in a supportive team setting, and is excited to be part of Sound’s mission to celebrate communication for all.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Flexible part-time schedule
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • A team that celebrates communication from all

What We’re Looking For:

  • California Hearing Aid Dispensing (HAD) state license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Familiarity with electronic health records systems

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard audiometric testing per licensure
  • Counsel patients and family members on test results and recommendations
  • Complete chart notes and written reports for patient appointments
  • Offer multiple hearing aid purchase options (private pay, insurance, and 3rd party)
  • Select, fit, and verify hearing aids, accessories, and assistive devices
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hearing aids
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and other vendors for training/support
  • Provide custom hearing protection consultations and fittings
  • Maintain a clean, safe, HIPAA-compliant workspace
