Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Instructional Designer to develop engaging learning solutions tailored to diverse learners. This can be a remote position with the ability to come onsite once a month and will focus on designing instructional materials, leveraging learning management systems (LMS), and collaborating with subject matter experts to create impactful training programs. Instructional Designer Responsibilities: Develop high-quality instructional materials, including modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and performance support tools, tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Conduct training needs analyses to identify performance gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions. Collaborate with SMEs to extract technical and functional knowledge and transform it into engaging, accessible learning content. Leverage learning management systems (LMS) to design and deliver training programs. Develop methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed. Plan and manage instructional design projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Develop and curate multimedia learning resources, including videos, assessments, and simulations. Evaluate and refine learning programs based on feedback, analytics, and learner performance. Ensure compliance with instructional and accessibility standards such as SCORM, xAPI, and ADA. Conduct training sessions for instructors and learners on the effective use of the LMS and digital learning tools. Stay updated with emerging trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and adult learning theories. Work closely with HC, leadership, and operational teams to align training initiatives with strategic objectives. Instructional Designer Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years in instructional design or training development. Experience in Construction industry, preferred. Certifications in Instructional Design, e-learning development or related fields, preferred. Experience with instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy). Proficiency in e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia). Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with LMS platforms and HRIS integration (Arcoro a plus). Knowledge of gamification, VR/AR in learning, or microlearning strategies is a plus. Who is Brennan? J.F. Brennan Company, Inc.
