Senior Land Surveyor
Senior Land Surveyor | MicroStation
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Senior Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading surveying projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards, and providing expert guidance in land surveying techniques. This role requires a deep understanding of surveying methodologies and the ability to manage complex projects across varied terrains.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage land surveying and right-of-way projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and review legal descriptions of property boundaries and site plans.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and other professionals on design and construction projects.
- Utilize MicroStation for drafting and modeling survey data.
- Analyze survey data and provide insights for project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and legal standards related to land surveying.
- Mentor junior surveyors and provide training on surveying techniques and technologies.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field - not required.
- PLS/PSM license in MD preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on boundary and topographic surveys.
- Proficient in using MicroStation software.
- Strong knowledge of GPS surveying techniques and Civil Engineering principles.
- Experience in project management and data analysis in surveying contexts.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
