Florida ELA Educators ThinkCERCA has been approved for adoption by the Florida Department of Education for grades 6-12. We are seeking a group of very recent teachers to support the development of final review materials. Teachers currently employed in Florida districts conducting ELA adoptions are not eligible to participate in this review sprint. We are seeking experienced educators and curriculum specialists to serve as Curriculum Reviewers for instructional materials aligned to the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards. This role is focused on the post-adoption review stage, ensuring that marketing and implementation resources to accompany the curriculum are accurate, clear, fully aligned, instructionally sound, and ready for classroom implementation. Additionally, reviewers will ensure the materials we provide to adoption committees are comprehensive and easy to use. Curriculum Reviewers will conduct a detailed evaluation of lessons, assessments, and teacher/student resources, identifying areas to highlight in presentations, ensuring adherence to standards, and verifying that all content meets the highest levels of accuracy, clarity, and accessibility. We are particularly interested in educators who have recently participated in state reviews of assessment items and other aspects of curriculum review. The role is ideal for consultants who have recently transitioned out of district-based ELA leadership roles. Note, we will not be able to engage reviewers who are currently employed at any districts undergoing an adoption, as it would violate state and district adoption policies. Key Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive review of the material that supports our completed curriculum to help us make visible the ways our teachers can implement the curriculum to ensure all students experience the full depth of rigor intended in each of the Florida B.E.S.T. standards. Verify the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of supporting content for the process of adoption and implementation. Ensure our materials that support the print and digital instructional design are easy to use and reflect best practices in pedagogy, differentiation, and scaffolding for all learners. Support the development of materials to communicate effective implementations in low-tech environments, blended environments, and in digital-only environments. Confirm that our materials are representative of all Florida students and developmentally appropriate. Provide detailed, constructive feedback to curriculum developers, including suggestions for refinements. Review and confirm that teacher resources provide sufficient guidance, pacing, and support for effective classroom implementation in a variety of schedules. Review recommended implementation guidance for a variety of implementation models and contexts (low-tech/high-tech, block/traditional schedules, novice/experienced teachers, etc.). #J-18808-Ljbffr ThinkCERCA
